Most gorgeous, comfy car ever, all heated seats!

Best Bose stereo! Ivory white, including leather interior! Bot used 2010, $7000, less than 90,000 miles. Rides like on a cloud. Issues: now at 130,000 miles: low gas mileage in town{14}, sensors having to be replaced, replaced a/c compressor, and serpentine belt. Expensive repairs! Engine warning on! Air bag warning! Ignition won't let key turn on car now. Security warning on, and alarm. Cruise quit. Gas guage not working, rims letting air out of {4 new tires}, but I LOVE this car!

My Favorite Car

I purchased a 2004 Cadillac DeVille in 2005, and drove it for fifteen years - it was absolutely my favorite car, there was nothing on the market I would rather have had - the ‘04 DeVille was the perfect for me! The DeVille was large and powerful with the Northstar V8 under the hood, and the ride was smooth as silk. Sure it handled like a boat, but cornering isn’t the reason you drive the DeVille, it’s all about the soft comfortable ride and the quiet, luxurious cabin. The interior was spacious, attractive, with nice amenities (lovely wood trim, leather seats, power everything), and well thought out - gauges easy to read, layout of controls made sense, there was even a double visor set up, where if you put the visor (with a slide out extension) to the side window a smaller visor was available to flip down in the front. The split bench seats were incredibly comfortable, literally every passenger who ever rode in that car commented on how comfortable it was, and in my car the soft, perforated leather seats were heated and cooled.The car did have some mechanical issues over the years, however. At about 60K the window regulators started breaking - every one broke at least once, two windows twice! Motor mounts broke around 100K, there was an axel issue, and at about 180K the car broke down with a serious cooling problem. There were a couple of other pricey (around $1,000. per repair) issues over the years, but can’t recall what they were. The engine and transmission remained solid, however, until the last year I owned the DeVille, when the service engine light kept coming on and one of the cylinders began misfiring.Last year, at about 190k, we traded (almost no trade in value) my ‘04 in on a 2018 Cadillac XTS, which, sadly, was no comparison in ride quality and comfort to the DeVille. The XTS was so disappointing I sold it in less than a year and purchased a Lexus. There is nothing in today’s market as large and comfortable as the DeVille, and I wish we had kept mine and “refurbished “ it. If you love the comfort of the American cars of yesteryear, don’t mind driving an out of style vehicle, and happen across one of these beauties in great condition, it might be something to consider, but do be prepared to spend thousands of dollars as the car continues aging and needs repairs! Loved my ‘04 DeVille!

2005 Cadillac DeVille Base review

Powerful, reliable V8

This 18 year old Car has "lasted 10 years" like it should, as the song says. Its still smooth, powerful, and everything still works. The original white paint still looks like new. Of course, the previous owner obviously took care of it, and I will too. Heads turn, when I arrive in this, even tho, Used, I paid about 20 cents on the dollar for what most new ones cost. Sure, I miss the backup camera, the blind spot monitor, and adaptive cruise of my newer cars, but, I fixed the BSM with a small round concave mirror which eliminated that blind spot. I feel very safe in the powerful big car, that gets surprisingly great mileage on the hiway, sometimes close to 30 miles per gallon, with an average of around 27 hiway. Of course its much worse around town, stop and go. The trunk is so large, that a small family could move in the trunk and live there. Well not quite. This model is the "fleet livery" model. I understand that GM put a 3 year 150,000 mile warranty on the fleet models.. you dont want it to break, so that warranty is a vote of confidence. I think a big difference between "fleet" models and the regular Caddy, is the fleet has an oversized radiator, and holds 60 percent more oil. This is important because radiators tend to clog up, reducing capacity, over time, and causing the engine to heat up. Overheating is a killer of engines and this massive radiator keeps it cool no matter what. It also takes extra oil..8 quarts. That keeps it cool, too. It costs a little more oil at oil changes, But that's but its a small price to pay for a very reliable car.

2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT review

Perfect utility vehicle

I bought my first (sadly dream car) after selling my c3500 for a 2004 pt cruiser last year. Now at first it was the cheapest quickest car I could buy in a flash due to growing family. However the little Chrysler that could grew on me. I bought it with just over 150k km and quickly got just under 200k km. Now I know many will judge; but this little car went almost 50k km without any work or any oil changes or maintainance. I should mentioned this cars from way up north Canada so she sees ALOT of road salt snow and mud. Also I should mention this car is my and my sons “hunting buggy” we have over sized off-road tires and 30% of the time it’s running mud and gravel roads/off-roading. Only recently have I had to change my power steering hose and have a wheel bearing, hub, alignment and a new set of tires thrown on it. That’s incredible for those of you that don’t know. Now she does have her quirks like the interior lights due to rke module and the power locks (same issue) but unlike most vehicles, just pull one fuse and problem fixed; you just don’t have power locks (boo-hoo) It’s also loud on the interior when you pull the seat from the back and haul cargo. But good luck turning your civic into a pickup truck with more issues. Long story short this has now been the second longest lasting and most reliable vehicle I’ve owned aside from aforementioned truck that I had 10k$ Custom builds into. Now she’s been running myself wife and three kids (yes this car fits three car seats and weekends worth of camping gear) for a little over a year without any issues other then I’ve caused.

Undercoated well wheel wells and springs i used tremclad rust paint to cover min rust. Body or under side no rust at all after 16 years. Runs drives and is still dead silent warmed up . Water Pump Still Orignal at 178,000 One ignition coil failed at 160,000 ( Not a cheap Part) Cute Car Fill It And Forget filling for while . Distance driving 625 km trip was only 20 buck in gas with gas to ride with for week after return. Is efficent. Low horse power (expected) Great beater for most Cheap as xxxx. Far cry from when the first Accent was introduced. Nervous breakdown accents i call em.

I work at a car dealership in VA. A customer traded in their 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L with a little over 185k miles on it. I bought it two weeks ago from our wholesale lot and it's been amazing. I can tell the previous owner kept really good care of it but also the comfortability of the vehicle and the reliability really caught my eye. I have another vehicle I drive but this deal I couldn't pass up. Best vehicle I've ever owned even with 186k on it. It has everything I wanted and the space is great for me and my 2 year old black lab. Buy one if you can find a good deal - they are soooo worth it!!!!

I Babied This Car, and It Took Care of Me!!

This car is not a hybrid. It is gas only. I purchased this car with 4,500 miles on it in 2004. As the former owner of this car, I can tell you that I never had any transmission problem with this car! It does not jerk, thump, and bump around when driving it. It is an extremely smooth ride...purrs right along! I rarely had any problems with anything while owning this car! Just basic maintenance. That is why I just purchased my third Honda Civic. Test drive this car yourself. As far as I am concerned, Honda Civic is the most well-made car around. The mileage on the car is accurate. The first 80,000 miles were highway miles that I put on while working in the Twin Cities. The next 19,000 were put on running around doing errands in a small town after retirement. There are fewer than 100,000 miles on this car yet. This car is a treasure and whoever buys it will never regret it!

2007 Pontiac Solstice review

SO COOL, my vanity plate, and so true!

I bought 07 in 2013 for $9K. I’m 6’2” and don’t have any problems getting and out except with a hat on and cowboy boots. It’s an automatic transmission. I had racing stripes painted on it because they all look the same. I’ve often thought I’d wished I’d bought the GXP with the std shift with turbo but I think my left leg would hit the steering wheel shifting. Mine has 110K miles on it. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, it sticks to the road at any speed and holds curves so well that no other car can. The cons are they the interior is all hard plastics, so for a long trip you’ll feel every crevice and wish for a softer interior. The cup holder for the driver on the transmission mound when alone is crap and will jam and not close, don’t use it, it will fail. Mechanically the automatic transmission has a sealed transmission and should have had a recall, because within 50K miles it shifts real hard on the downshift. Have a trusted mechanic check the transmission fluid level, even though there isn’t a stick the mechanic can add fluid. I spent over a grand paying for an ECM replaced that controls the transmission and later found out it was only low fluid. You’ll get all kinds of advice and most will be wrong. I’m having a new top put in it, the only thing that shows it’s wear. Overall, it’s been a very dependable car, like all cars needs regular maintenance but so so much fun to drive.

Great vehicle! Very reliable! Sporty! Gorgeous interior and killer Bose sound system. No problems till the car hit around 120k then I started to have problems but at that mileage problems are expected. Right sub frame needed replaced at $2500, replaced suspension $1500, replaced radiator $600. Not great on gas. I got about 17 around town and 25 on the highway but that’s pretty much what all the mid size SUV’s get.
